From function to design: photovoltaics as a building material
Speaker: Pierluigi Bonomo Date and time: Saturday, Oct. 12, 1 p.m.
The talk will focus on the evolution of photovoltaics from a simple functional technology to a true building material, redefining the boundaries between sustainability and architecture.
Through integration as an architectural element, we will explore how photovoltaic technology not only meets energy needs, but also becomes a catalyst for aesthetic and design innovation for buildings and cities.
This approach transforms the contingency of harnessing solar energy into a resource of beauty and creativity, opening up new possibilities for architecture that combines functionality, design, and sustainability in a harmonious and original way while preserving the landscape and the quality of the built environment.
