Peter Pichler

Peter Pichler was born in Bolzano, Italy, in 1982 and studied architecture at theUniversity of Applied Arts in Vienna, where he graduated with honors in Zaha Hadid’s master class, as well as in the United States at theUniversity of California (UCLA).

During his studies, Peter collaborated with renowned architectural firms such as Zaha Hadid Architects in London, Delugan Meissl in Vienna and OMA / Rem Koolhaas in Rotterdam. After graduation he worked as a design architect for Zaha Hadid Architects in Hamburg, researching and working on award-winning projects and competitions in several countries. In 2015 he founded PETER PICHLER ARCHITECTURE studio in Milan with his wife Silvana Ordinas.

Peter believes that architecture should have a strong connection to the culture and history of a specific place. He is interested in the analysis and research of vernacular architecture, materials and elements that combined with technology can express a contemporary interpretation of the past.

He was named a Young Italian Talent by the National Chamber of Architects in Italy and was a finalist for the Milan Triennale’s Gold Medal of Architecture Award and the Dezeen Awards as Emerging Architect of the Year. He is a winner of the “40 under 40” award among the best young emerging architects and designers in Europe, selected by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and the European Center for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies.

Silvana Ordinas

Silvana Ordinas was born in Majorca, Spain in 1987. He holds an Executive Master’s degree in Marketing and Sales from SDA BOCCONISchoolof Management in Milan and ESADE Business School in Barcelona. She studied Tourism at the Universitat de les Illes Balears where she graduated in 2011.

During her university studies Silvana also pursued a research and development career as an international model, working for multiple international brand organizations and immersing herself in the world of style and design.

After graduation, Silvana joined the family real estate business in Mallorca as a project manager, overseeing various projects from their design and construction phase to final sale, while overseeing financial possibilities for future investments.

In late 2015, Silvana and Pietro founded the architectural firm PETER PICHLER ARCHITECTURE in Milan, where he is StudioAdministrative Manager, oversees and directs clients, studio and financial strategies and decisions.
