BIOGRAPHY:

Mino Caggiula began his career in Switzerland at the Michele Barra construction company in Ascona. In 1997, he obtained a diploma in Construction Masonry from SPAI in Biasca and in 2001 a diploma in Architecture from SUPSI in Lugano.

Upon completion of his technical education, he attended theAcademy of Architecture in Mendrisio, where he worked in various areas of construction and architectural design.

Between 2004 and 2005, he attended Columbia University in New York with Prof. Arch. Kenneth Frampton. During this period he had significant work experience at the office of architect Steven Holl, with whom he won several international competitions: including first-place finishes for the Herning Center of Arts in Denmark (opened 2009), the museum for the City of Surf and Ocean in Biarritz, France (opened 2011), and the construction of the Linked Hybrid Complex in Beijing, China (opened 2009).

Between 2005 and 2007 he participated in numerous international conferences and obtained the Master of Art in Architecture, at the Academy of Mendrisio, with a project for the urban redevelopment of the entire lagoon of Venice with Architect Elia Zenghelis: the project won the first prize SIA and the first prize Regione Veneto.

Since 2010 he has founded his own professional practice based in Lugano and Milan, dealing with international projects and achieving several awards and recognitions.
